Research is expensive, and our work would not be possible without the generous support of government funding agencies, companies, foundations, and altruistic donors like you. Every donation, no matter the size, helps us develop cures for genetic diseases. Here are some examples of what your generosity will fund:

$25          Liquid food to grow cells outside of the body

$50          Microscope supplies to study how delivery vehicles transport drugs inside of cells

$100        Insulin for diabetes treatment experiments

$250        The ingredients to create and test mRNA therapeutics using lipid nanoparticles

$500        Blood tests that ensure our delivery vehicles are safe

$1000+    All materials needed test a cure for disease (e.g. diabetes) in a pre-clinical model

The donate link will take you to a Carnegie Mellon giving page that will ask you to enter a dollar amount. 88% of your donation will go to the Whitehead Lab, with the remainder funding university efforts. You will also be asked for your name and email address. You do not have to choose a Department for your gift - it will automatically be allocated to the Whitehead Lab.
